Expected setup flow
1. Verify RTSP on port 554.
Check the camera or recorder settings and confirm RTSP is enabled.
2. Add the Dahua stream to SmartRTSP for Mac.
Start with the main stream, then switch to the sub-stream if you want lower bitrate for the Home app.
3. Publish through HomeKit.
When the macOS HomeKit bridge ships, SmartRTSP will reuse the tested Dahua input and expose it to Apple Home.
Tips for Dahua deployments
- Recorder channel numbers map cleanly into the RTSP URL pattern.
- Use the same credentials as the camera web UI.
- Validate the stream in SmartRTSP before enabling any bridge export.
