Amcrest RTSP Setup

Stream your Amcrest IP camera directly to SmartRTSP on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Amcrest cameras use Dahua-based firmware and support both RTSP and ONVIF.

How to Enable RTSP on Amcrest

Log in to the web interface

Navigate to http://<camera-IP>. Default credentials: username admin, password on the label. You can also use the Amcrest IP Config Tool to find cameras on your network.

Verify RTSP is enabled

Go to Setup → Network → Connection. Confirm TCP is enabled and RTSP port is 554. Click Save.

Add to SmartRTSP

ONVIF Scan (recommended): SmartRTSP's ONVIF scanner finds Amcrest cameras automatically.

Use subtype=0 for main stream (high res), subtype=1 for sub-stream (low res).

What is the default Amcrest RTSP username and password?
