What is HiLook?

HiLook is Hikvision's value-tier brand for small business and entry-level surveillance projects, much like EZVIZ serves Hikvision's consumer market.

Because HiLook cameras are manufactured by Hikvision and share the same firmware architecture, they also use the same RTSP URL structure as Hikvision cameras.

That makes HiLook a more affordable alternative to the full Hikvision DS-series while keeping broad compatibility with ONVIF apps, NVRs, and manual RTSP viewers such as SmartRTSP.

Popular HiLook models include IPC-B120H, IPC-D120H, IPC-T120H, and the 4MP IPC-B140H. Search interest in the HiLook brand is also trending upward, making it a useful brand page to bookmark.

How to Enable RTSP on HiLook Cameras

1

Open the web interface and sign in

Open a browser and go to http://<camera-IP>. Sign in with admin and your password. Common defaults are HiLook12345 or 12345, but many models require you to create a password during first-time setup.

2

Enable ONVIF in Integration Protocol

Go to Network → Advanced Settings → Integration Protocol and enable ONVIF. This is the same menu structure used by Hikvision firmware.

3

Confirm RTSP stays on port 554

HiLook cameras usually have RTSP enabled by default on 554. The main stream URL uses /Streaming/Channels/101 and the sub-stream uses /Streaming/Channels/102.

4

Find the camera IP if needed

If you do not know the address, use Hikvision's SADP Tool from hikvision.com to scan your local network and identify the HiLook device.

5

Add the camera to SmartRTSP

Option A — ONVIF scan: let SmartRTSP discover the camera automatically. Option B — manual URL: paste the RTSP stream directly.

rtsp://admin:YourPassword@192.168.1.100:554/Streaming/Channels/101

HiLook Default Credentials

  • Default username: admin
  • Default password: varies by firmware — often HiLook12345, 12345, or a password created during the first setup wizard
  • Default port: 554
  • Default IP: DHCP-assigned — use SADP Tool or your router to find it

Troubleshooting

  • If the password is rejected, check whether the camera required a first-time activation wizard and you never finished it.
  • Use SADP Tool when you do not know the IP address or need to confirm that the camera is on your subnet.
  • If RTSP will not open, verify ONVIF is enabled in the web UI under Integration Protocol.
  • Because HiLook shares firmware with Hikvision, the same troubleshooting steps for Hikvision RTSP streams usually apply to HiLook cameras as well.
