Remote viewing, when you choose

Check your cameras away from home on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac. Remote viewing is optional; your everyday local viewing stays the same.

01

Local viewing stays local

You can keep watching cameras on your local network without enabling remote viewing, creating an account, or adding a remote-viewing plan.

02

When you want to watch from elsewhere

Choose a SmartRTSP device near your cameras to make them available. On another supported device, sign in and choose the camera you want to watch.

03

Separate access, only if you enable it

Remote viewing needs a SmartRTSP account and a separate remote-viewing plan. You do not need either for local viewing.

04

Supported devices today

Remote viewing supports iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac. It is not currently available in SmartRTSP for Windows or Android.

05

Keep the device near your cameras available

A Mac is the best choice when you want ongoing availability. If you use an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV near your cameras, keep SmartRTSP open in the foreground; remote viewing may stop when the app is closed or suspended.
