What is coming
SmartRTSP already connects directly to RTSP and ONVIF cameras on iPhone, iPad and Mac. The Mac app is being prepared as the next step for people who want their existing cameras closer to Apple Home.
The goal is simple: if a camera already works in SmartRTSP, you should not need to replace it just to use Apple Home. Start with the camera you already own, confirm live view, and continue from the Mac app.
How it is expected to work
Use SmartRTSP for Mac to add your camera and confirm the live view works.
Keep your camera and Mac on the same local network for the simplest experience.
Use the Mac app when you are ready to connect the camera with Apple Home.
Keep using the cameras you already own instead of replacing working hardware.
Why this matters for Apple users
- Bring more camera brands toward Apple Home than native HomeKit hardware alone.
- Reuse existing RTSP and ONVIF cameras instead of replacing working devices.
- Keep SmartRTSP as your main viewer while adding Apple Home convenience.
- Use your Mac as the center of the setup without buying extra hardware.
