Compatibility rule: Xiaomi, Mi Home and Aqara branding does not prove RTSP or ONVIF support. Verify the exact product page and current firmware before buying, flashing, or entering a stream URL.
Xiaomi RTSP decision matrix
| Product group | Safe conclusion | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi C200 and modern Mi Home cameras | No universal RTSP/ONVIF endpoint across regions and firmware | Check the C200-specific guide |
| Legacy Xiaofang/Dafang hardware | Some exact revisions are supported by community firmware; stock firmware should not be assumed to expose RTSP | Match the hardware identifier against the project compatibility list |
| Aqara-branded cameras | A separate product line with model-, region- and firmware-specific local integrations | Use the exact Aqara model documentation; do not reuse a generic Xiaomi URL |
How to verify your exact camera
- Record the full model number, hardware revision, selected Mi Home region, and firmware version.
- Check the manufacturer's product and support pages for RTSP, ONVIF, NAS, NVR, or local-network integration.
- Run ONVIF discovery on the same LAN. A failed scan does not prove a guessed RTSP path exists.
- If an official URL is documented, test it locally. If the camera is cloud-only, SmartRTSP cannot unlock or bypass it.
Community firmware boundary
The community Xiaomi-Dafang-Hacks project supports only listed legacy hardware. Installing third-party firmware can fail, remove vendor features, or void support. Never apply its URL or instructions to an unlisted modern Xiaomi camera.
