How to Use Reolink RTSP
Confirm RTSP is active
First confirm the exact model's connection path. In current Reolink apps, open the device settings and use Advanced Network Settings → Server Settings where available. In Reolink Client, use Device Settings → Network → Advanced → Server Settings, then enable RTSP and verify its configured port. Enable ONVIF separately when using a supported discovery or control workflow.
Find the camera IP address
In the Reolink app, go to Settings → Network → Status to see the IP address. Alternatively use the Reolink Client software on your PC/Mac which will show all cameras on the LAN.
Add to SmartRTSP
Option A — ONVIF Auto-Discovery: Tap the ONVIF scan button in SmartRTSP to auto-find your Reolink camera.
Option B — Manual URL: Tap + → Manual, then enter:
Replace camera_user, YourPassword, and the IP with the credentials and address configured on your camera, Home Hub, or NVR.
Reolink RTSP URL Reference
| Stream | RTSP URL Path |
|---|---|
| Main stream (high res) | /Preview_01_main |
| Sub-stream (low res) | /Preview_01_sub |
| Channel 2 main (NVR) | /Preview_02_main |
| Legacy firmware/integration | /h264Preview_01_main |
Full URL prefix: rtsp://username:password@<IP>:554
Check power, hardware and the actual endpoint first
A power cable is not enough to classify every Reolink camera as a standalone RTSP source. Use the current manufacturer matrix and the exact hardware identifier. The following are scoped examples, not a complete supported-device list.
| Model or hardware example | Documented connection condition |
|---|---|
| E1 / E320 / E321 | Compatible Home Hub or NVR; not a blanket standalone claim |
| Lumus E430, IPC_325C7 | Hub or NVR route in the protocol matrix; check the specific Hub compatibility list |
| Lumus E430, IPC_NT1NO24MP | Standalone, compatible Hub or NVR routes in the matrix |
| Supported battery Wi-Fi models | Home Hub route; confirm exact camera, Hub hardware and firmware |
| Battery Video Doorbell 2nd Gen | Standalone RTSP only in Wired Power Mode; the FAQ requires app 4.62 or later |
| TrackMix Wired LTE / G765 | Ethernet connection, not the LTE link |
| No-UID kit examples D500 / B800 / B500W / V800W | NVR route rather than a standalone stream |
| H3MB16 / H3MB02 / H3MB17 NVR hardware with 4K cameras | Fluent stream limitation in the manufacturer matrix |
For a Hub or NVR connection, use that endpoint address, configured ports, account and correct channel. Check the Hub compatibility page separately: a protocol matrix entry does not guarantee every Hub generation accepts the camera. Wired Power Mode is a named doorbell mode, not a claim that charging any battery camera enables RTSP.
Official sources and verification boundary
